Billing & refunds

1. Who operates bergbooking
bergbooking is operated by MONTBERG s. r. o., Oravská 3237/15A, 903 01 Senec, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 57 659 729, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, file no. 200096/B. Contact: hello@bergbooking.com, phone +421 949 407 314. These billing terms complement our terms of service, Part B. If the English and Slovak versions differ, the Slovak version prevails.
2. What is paid, what is free
bergbooking is free for players; bergbooking never charges people who book. Paid plans exist only for businesses that manage a place on bergbooking. Every new business starts on the Free plan and can stay on it indefinitely. Pro includes one free 30-day trial per business: a payment card is required at checkout, and the subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless it is cancelled before then. Current plans, limits and prices are listed in the pricing section and at checkout.
3. Business subscriptions
Plans are sold to businesses (sole traders and companies) for use in their trade, not to consumers. By subscribing you confirm you are purchasing on behalf of a business you are entitled to represent. At checkout you provide the business's legal name, billing address and IČO, and its VAT number if it has one. Name, address and VAT number appear on every invoice; the IČO is added to your billing profile after checkout and appears from your next invoice on.
4. Billing and VAT
Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, through our payment provider Stripe. Your payment method is charged when the subscription starts and then at the beginning of each billing period until you cancel. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers. Prices are in euro and exclusive of VAT. MONTBERG s. r. o. is currently not a VAT payer, so no VAT is added today; if we become a VAT payer, VAT at the statutory rate will be added from your next billing period after we notify you at least 30 days in advance. Every charge has an invoice, available in the billing portal.
5. Cancelling and changing plans
You can cancel or change your plan at any time in the billing portal, reached from your owner dashboard at app.bergbooking.com (in the iOS app, the "Manage or cancel" screen emails you the link). Cancelling stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then drops to the Free plan. Your data and bookings remain. Zones and weekly rules beyond the Free plan's limits are switched off, never deleted, and come back when you upgrade again.
6. Refunds
Amounts already paid for a started billing period are not refunded when you cancel; the plan simply runs to the end of the period. If you were charged in error (for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after you cancelled), write to hello@bergbooking.com within 30 days and we will refund what was charged wrongly. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory law.
7. Price changes
If a plan's price changes, we notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and the new price applies only from your next billing period. If you disagree, cancel before the new period starts and nothing further is charged.
8. Card payments for bookings and the platform fee
Payments for bookings are always between the player and the business: at the place, by bank transfer, or, where the business has enabled it, by card through Stripe on the business's own Stripe account. For each card booking bergbooking charges the business a platform fee, currently 1.5% of the booking plus €0.25, exclusive of VAT; the current fee is shown in the app when you enable card payments and afterwards in Edit Business, and we notify you before and after any change. Stripe deducts the fee from each payment. For every month in which you had card bookings we email you, on the first day of the following month, an invoice for those fees, already settled, for your records. Every refund made through bergbooking returns the full amount to the player, including bergbooking's fee; Stripe's own processing fee on the original payment is not returned. The refund rules for players are in the terms of service.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic and disputes are decided by its courts. Questions and complaints: hello@bergbooking.com; we answer within 30 days and prefer fixing things over arguing about them.
